Meet Dr. Lisa Richter

Helping Others As She Was Helped

Dr. Lisa RichterDr. Lisa started experiencing headaches starting at the age of 19, suffering three or four severe migraines per week. At one point, she experienced a migraine for over a year, waking up each day hoping it went away, but it didn’t.

Then, the first time Dr. Lisa had a chiropractic adjustment, she didn’t have a headache for over a month. “That was a powerful demonstration of what chiropractic could do.”

Years later, as she was while supporting her two daughters Kayla and Samantha, Dr. Lisa began looking for a new career. She wanted something flexible so she could raise her children while supporting them. “In addition, I hoped to help people in the same way I was helped.”

Becoming a Family Chiropractor

Dr. Lisa earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Georgia in 1990. She then started chiropractic college at Life University before transferring to Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Oregon. She graduated in 2004 with her Doctor of Chiropractic. The two colleges had different teaching philosophies that gave Dr. Lisa a well-rounded approach to chiropractic care. “Now, I have a variety of tools in my toolbox to help my patients heal as best they can.”

She remembers a time in college when she realized how powerful the nervous system is and how chiropractic care can help you in more ways than one might imagine. “The more I learned and was coached, I realized how much the nervous system controls our body, being and life.” If there’s interference in the nervous system, chiropractic care can help remove that interference so you can heal naturally.

Finding Her Niche

Always wanting to work with people, Dr. Lisa is happy to see her practice evolve to include those looking for pain relief, wellness or pregnancy and pediatric care. She enjoys offering thorough education and specialized services to her patients to help them function as best as possible.

Epic Accelerators is a community of chiropractors that continually learn, train and strive to be the best they can be. This nationwide program is a valuable resource to Dr. Lisa to learn from others’ experiences and be able to apply her knowledge to help patients like you.

We share, learn and try to make our service to our patients better.

Staying Dedicated to Family and Health

Dr. Lisa is one of four children herself and enjoys riding horses. As a single mom of Kayla and Samantha, she’s now enjoying the adventures of being a grandmother of twins, a boy and a girl. Her dedication to her practice and her family are what make her the incredible mother and chiropractor that she is.

Now with grandchildren, Dr. Lisa and her daughter’s family have changed their entire outlook on organic eating and food. She’s now focusing on taking care of herself, exercising and losing weight. “We’ve completely changed our lifestyle to take care of ourselves from the inside out and be as healthy as we can.”

To give back, Dr. Lisa has done the three-day, Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure breast cancer walk and supports a local women’s shelter. She looks forward to more involvement in her community and helping build a stronger city as a chiropractor.
