Matrix Therapy in Gainesville

Lower back and neck painImagine being pain-free after suffering from daily discomfort due to failed back surgery. Or having restored range of motion after putting up with a frozen shoulder for months or more. At KLS Chiropractic, we’re pleased to offer patients Matrix therapy, which has been a proven method of treatment for many years, in the areas of prevention, recovery and rehabilitation.

What Is It?

Also known as biomechanical muscle stimulation, Matrix treatment employs an electroanalgesic device and uses vacuum pressure along with electricity to restore and regenerate tissue and nerves, decrease muscle spasm and dysfunction, and reduce pain.

“Because it first helps first alleviate the pain, people can start moving in a more normal manner. Then the therapy helps regenerate the tissues and get the nerve functioning as it should,” said Dr. Lisa.

Conditions That May Be Helped

Here are some conditions for which Matrix therapy may be helpful:

  • Frozen shoulder
  • Knee pain
  • Failed back surgery
  • Neuropathy
  • Cystitis (bladder spasm)
  • Incontinence

Patient Success Stories

Neuropathy

Dr. Lisa has had neuropathy patients who within 2-3 treatments no longer had burning at night, or they had such a reduction in the burning that it’s not preventing them from sleeping. Within 5-7 treatments, these patients are starting to regain sensation they hadn’t had for years.

When the system first came out 30 years ago, one of the test patients was a diabetic who had neuropathy and gangrene on their leg. The patient was going to have their leg amputated. Within 30 days of receiving the therapy, the gangrene was eliminated, the neuropathy was gone, and the patient didn’t have to lose their leg. It reversed the gangrene.

With Matrix therapy, Dr. Lisa can reverse a patient’s neuropathy, whether due to diabetes or chemotherapy.

Frozen shoulder

After just 1-2 treatments, patients with adhesive capsulitis could go from not being able to raise their arm to having full range of motion.
